No Game for Welwyn

Recommended Posts

With the sad demise of Berkhamstead Town it obviously means that there will be no game against them at their Broadwater Stadium this coming Saturday.

Del and Steve are trying to arrange a friendly match to give the boys a run out and test out those returning to fitness.

Not having played competitive football since they beat Langford on 27th December, the lads will be eager to play.

Anybody that was involved with Edgware Town will know how the staff and players at 'Berko' will be feeling right now. The death of another non league club has an effect on everyone but with little or no money coming down to the grass roots from the powers that be at the FA they may not be the last .

When you think that the wages earned by a minor Premiership player in one week would support two or three non league clubs for a year, it makes you think there has to be something wrong
