Citizens defeat the Greens

The Citizens were missing two thirds of their strike force today and in a game that was attack and counter neither keeper had to make a save of note. However, substitute Paul Marks broke the deadlock late into the second half to win the Citizens the points and they now go to 9th place in the league.

 

Tom Lewis put a cross into the area for Richard Morton, but the big midfielder snatched at his shot and the ball went over the bar, 4 minutes from the start.

 

A minute or two before the quarter hour Adam Wallace forced a corner which Matt Thompson swung into the area, the Greens keeper, Grame Milner , had to forced himself through a press of players to punch the ball away. A couple of minutes later Lawrence Rispoli
