South East Essex League<BR>UNDER 10&#8217;s Div 1<BR>MATCH REPORT<BR>30/09/2001<P>Canvey Island Youth 3<P>Premier F C 1<P><BR>The boys from the sunshine island played their first league game at the their new 20,000 all seater stadium and graced it with a performance to match.<BR>Before the crowd had taken their seats our new signing Billy Keys pinged a majestic pass through to James Thompson who crashed a shot into the Premier net to put the boys in yellow in front.<BR>One nil to the Canvey boys rang around the ground as the Canvey mums choir sang their hearts out for their little darlings.<P>You could feel the tension around the ground as Premier turned up the heat and forced an equaliser to end the first half level.<P>The defensive qualities of Craig Doughty,Jake Wilson and Jack Carver shone through as they battled to keep the scoring down to one goal,Lewis Thompson covered every blade of grass together with Josh McCann who showed some lovely touches.<P>With ten minutes to go the game could have gone either way up stepped Jamie Corando who crashed a fine shot into the Premiers net to send the home crowd wild.<BR>As Premier surged forward searching for the equaliser Joe Walker threw the ball and created a counter attack as the yellow machine broke down the left hand side crossed the ball which Jamie controlled and picked his spot to grab his second goal and Canveys third.<P>Well Done Boys<P>Squad<BR>Joe Walker, Craig Doughty, Jack Carver, Jake Wilson,Josh McCann,Jamie Coranado,James Thompson,Billy Keys,Lewis Thompson.
