Nitetime Neil Posted March 5, 2014 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Just saw this piece in the bottom right hand corner of my paper this morning: "The FA have banned Gary Calder, a former Weymouth CEO, from all football for eight years for multiple betting offences while at the club, including providing information not publicly available which was used for, or in relation to, gambling on a Conference match in 2009. Calder has been out of the sport but the FA acted after learning he hoped to return to football. " Such a shame this has happened, always found him a good guy when he was at Ricay and have positive memories of his time at New Lodge when I was Supporters Club chairman - he even used to let me phone him up at OMG o'clock in the morning on my breakfast show to interview him re the previous night's match !
