FF News
Peacehaven & Telscombe chairman Brian Suckling has hailed Magpies fans for raising more than half of the £15,000 needed to help preserve their Ryman Premier status. The Magpies have until March 31 to comply with the FA's ground-grading requirements for Step 3 and have raised more than £8,000 towards essential improvements at the Sports Park, pictured, since launching their 'Stand or Fall' appeal two weeks ago. The ground makeover includes adding 100 extra undercover seats and a result of what Suckling called a 'phenomenal' response from supporters, he has now ordered two fifty seat stands so work can get underway over the coming weeks. Applications to grant aid bodies including the Football Foundation have also been submitted and Suckling said: “We’ve decided to move the project to the next level and place the order for the stands. We’ve been running the campaign for just over two weeks and our supporters have been brilliant. "But now we have to dig deep and speak to friends, relatives and business colleagues and encourage them to support the Stand or Fall campaign. Failure is not an option!” Suckling added: "I'm delighted by the brilliant start to the campaign. I urge as many people as possible to get involved. The club belongs to the community and it is integral part of these two towns. Please support our Stand or Fall campaign."
