Brigg Town FC have parted company with the management duo of Gary Paton and Paul Fenwick.

After a meeting earlier this week it was agreed with the duo that the best way forward was to look for a change of management staff.

Gary Paton who took over in September from former manager Scott Hellewell has not had an easy run but since his time as manager he has proved a popular figure on and off the pitch.

Paul Fenwick returned to the Hawthons just three months ago to help his good friend Gary.

Zebras Chairman Simon Harris said “ Gary has been a great guy to work with and has proved popular not just around the club but also with staff at other clubs, it is always a difficult time when a club makes changes and that is certainly the case with Gary and Paul leaving, it goes without saying myself and the club wish both guys all the luck in the world and thank them both very much for their hard work at Brigg”

Moving forward senior players Jody Barford and Anthony Bowsley will take over in the short term with help from a yet to be named coach on the bench which will let the lads continue to play allowing the club to move forward off the pitch.
