FF News Posted March 6, 2015 Share Posted March 6, 2015 Southport have brought in centre-back Tom Davies on loan from Sky Bet League One neighbours Fleetwood Town. A Warrington-born former Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers youth player, Davies spent two years playing for Team Northumbria in the Ebac Northern League whilst completing a university degree in Newcastle before signing for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side FC United of Manchester. Joining Fleetwood in March 2014, Davies, 22, was immediately loaned back to FC United until the end of the campaign as they aimed for promotion whilst he spent two months in the Vanarama Conference with Alfreton Town and, most recently, Lincoln City, earlier this season.
