FF News Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Leek Town are celebrating after the Football Stadia Improvement Fund approved their application for part-funding to replace the playing surface. The Blues notorious pitch is renowned throughout non-league football for its poor state especially during the winter months when games are postponed often at short notice. In recent years Leek have been able to replace their floodlights and pitch perimeter fence thanks to grant funding and the news that the FSIF is once again backing the club is very much appreciated. Blues’ officials have one or two technical matters to sort out this week but work is expected to start on the £100,000 project during in early May.
