FF News
Salisbury FC have announced that their first friendly ahead of the 2015/16 season will see them face Bristol Rovers on Saturday July 11th. Kick-off will be 2pm. A statement on the club website said "We are grateful to former Whites player and manager Darrell Clarke for bringing the Pirates. Having been a popular player for Salisbury City then managed the club over a six-year period from 2007 to 2013, he will be guaranteed a warm welcome. The club wish Darrell and Rovers well this weekend as the Gas take on Grimsby Town in the Conference play-off final at Wembley. A win would see them come to the Ray Mac as a Football League club again, bouncing straight back after being relegated" Whites manager Steve Claridge said “This should be a great day and a great test for us. Rovers are a big club and always travel with a lot of fans. We look forward to welcoming everyone associated with them. Huge thanks go to Darrell for bringing his side back to his old stamping ground.” Source: salisburyfc.co.uk Source
