FF News
Vanarama National League South new boys Maidstone United have sold their 1,000th season ticket. To be precise the figure currently stands at 1,001 and the landmark was reached after John Ryan bought a season ticket for himself and his children Saskia and Saul on Saturday. Season ticket sales are almost double compared to this time last year as supporters look forward to an exciting new level of football. Club chief executive Bill Williams said: “Thank you to John and the 998 before him who’ve helped us reach this significant milestone. From the excitement and interest following the championship, we always hoped season ticket numbers would increase but to get to four figures is a massive achievement. It also backs the decision of the directors to invest more than £600,000 to improve facilities at the Gallagher Stadium this summer.” On becoming the 1,000th season ticket holder, John Ryan said: “It’s fantastic, absolutely brilliant – it just shows what a success the club is. Seeing the team in the pre-season friendlies – they’re fantastic and there’s some great new signings, Jay’s done a brilliant job. We can’t wait for the first game now.” Source: www.footballconference.co.uk Source
