FF News
Bradford Park Avenue centre-back Adam Clayton will require surgery after breaking three bones in his face. The long serving defender faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after the collision in the 15th minute of Wednesday’s loss to AFC Fylde. Clayton went down as a corner came in and he challenged with Fylde full-back Dom Collins. Arms appeared to be raised by Collins but the referee gave nothing more than a free-kick. The Avenue man was down receiving treatment for two minutes before attempting to get back to his feet and collapsing again. He was carried off the pitch and continued to receive treatment on the bench. Eventually Clayton was transported to hospital for checks, where they found the broken bones. He will see a surgeon next week and may have to be fitted with a metal plate. Source: Bradford Park Avenue Source
