FF News
This weekend is a busy one for Woodley United with the men’s and ladies first teams both in FA competition action. Saturday 5th September 2016 sees the men travel the short distance to Wessex Division One members Tadley Calleva for a FA Vase 1st qualifying round tie for a first ever meeting between the two sides that kicks off at 3.00 pm. Woodley will be looking to emulate last season’s Vase performance and win through to the second qualifying round where the winners face a trip to either Chertsey Town or Tuffley Rovers. The next day the club’s ladies host Brentford Women in the first qualifying round of the SSE FA Women’s Cup to be played at Henley Town FC, 2.00 pm ko. This is the second occasion the team has entered the competition, falling at the first attempt last season, and will be their first competitive match of the new season. The winners will host QPR Girls in the second qualifying round. Source: www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football Source
