FF News
Torquay United make the long trip up to Barrow on the back of an extremely positive week on the training ground. “It’s certainly been an uplifting week,” admitted player-manager, Kevin Nicholson. “The lads have worked really hard and have looked good. “They have been just the way I want them to be – focussed and determined. We’re getting better physically all of the time and, to be honest, I would happily take on anyone this weekend. “Hopefully we can now follow this through into Saturday’s game and bring home all three points.” Nicholson will once more be without Exodus Geohaghon who remains sidelined with a groin problem. He joins long-term injury victims, Luke Young and Waide Fairhurst, on the sidelines, although the latter has spent a productive week at St. George’s Park as he closes in on a return to action. There is better news regarding Simon Heslop, who is expected to be available following a recent groin problem, whilst Ben Gerring will be back in training next week. Recent loan arrivals, Aman Verma and Andre Wright, will be looking to make their debuts for the club after last weekend’s game against Wrexham fell victim of the weather. United go into the game undefeated in our last four League games. Source: www.torquayunited.com Source
