Buckingham United's SSML Division Two visit to Mursley United on 5 October which was of course the infamous voided game when all hell broke loose and it was abandoned on 85 minutes, the photographer chose 'a good day' to visit Station Road:

Congratulations to Buckingham United for 'lifting' the best programme award at the SSML Annual General Meeting on Saturday. At least Club's no longer have Hoddesdon Town to contend with so it is more of an open contest these days and level playing field:

We are delighted to confirm we have been awarded best programme in the Spartan South Midlands League Division 2 at this mornings league AGM

Ultimately this is an award for the clubs programme editor Jack Stuchbury (pictured) who designed the whole programme and content from scratch. Jack has been instrumental over the years in various activities, promotions and projects behind the scenes ever since our formation in 2011, a lot of which will often go unnoticed.

Thank you also to those who contributed to content and also to our sponsors for opting to advertise within.

As posted on the Tring Athletic thread yesterday there is also an on-line Local Gym & Fitness page on Buckingham United which is very informative about the Club and right up to date by the looks of it with plans for the new campaign. I see that the Club are introducing a ladies team for the forthcoming season.

Sorry folks, just to say that this Cup Final on 25 May 2018 was played at Roade Football Club and not at Willen FC however who remembers the delights of playing at the Willen Pavillion and Sports Ground, I gather 2014/15 was the last season they competed in the SSML and this was one of their last games against Clean Slate on Monday 6 April 2015 in a 2-2 draw:

I see that Joe Cooper has replaced Matt Marsden as Reserve team supremo at the Lace Hill Sports and Community Centre, Matt had been in charge for two years but stepped down recently due to commitments outside the game, he will still be involved with the Club and come to watch the Reserves play in the North Bucks and District League Intermediate Division:

Buckingham United made the short trip to Stewkley last Saturday (8 August) for their first pre-season fixture and if supremo Sean Devine thought it would just be a walk in the park then he was hugely mistaken, Sean used the game to tinker around, Claudio Ranieri  style, with his available squad which will clearly need adding to going by the performance at the Step 8 North Bucks & District League Premier Division Club on what was a sweltering hot afternoon. Stewkley led 2-0 at the break with goals on 25 and 40 minutes and were pretty much untroubled for the remainder of the proceedings, see some photos and match action below:

Buckingham United travelled to Aylesbury & District League Premier Division Long Marston's leafy Recreation Ground last Saturday and came away with an impressive 4-0 victory which delighted supremo Sean Devine, Danny Simpson, Sonny Devine, Nick Walton and Lewis Fordham all netted with the game already wrapped up at the interval at 3-0. There's no let up in the preparation for the new campaign with a visit to Manor Fields to play Milton Keynes Irish tomorrow (Tuesday), kick off 7.30pm:

Buckingham United came down to earth with a heavy bump last night (Tuesday) losing 5-1 at Milton Keynes Irish who I gather were impressive, the Reserve side also had a disappointing result drawing 1-1 with Banbury District & Lord Jersey League Division One Middleton Cheney Reserves however they perhaps had excuses of playing in a very high wind at the Lace Hill Sports & Community Centre last night where the ball had a mind of its own.
