I think the shock would have been if we'd actually won it. Don't think we ever got going in the two games, despite being two up, and full credit to WSM. An away draw was creditable, but to beat us in the replay shows real determination. Let's hope we've got that in the league for the next few months.

Funnily enough, the first thing he said to me was, 'the lost didn't they' Either he's become psychic or the fleet are becoming predictable. I still can't believe the team that played so well in the first half last saturday lost, I think I'm in shock! Last saturdays first half perfomance was one of the best I've seen down there recently...let's see what kind of an effect this result has for saturdays game

To those fans who taunted us at half time at your place as we changed ends saying the tie was over and we were rubbish thanks. No to be fair you missed a few chances tonight but our keeper was in inspired form. But on the other hand we missed 6 or 7 clear chances too it was end to end stuff. But apart from a 15 minute spell in the second half where you were well on top i think overall we deserved the win. The handbags was nothing much Corbett reacted to a challenge and quite a few players went in but i think more to prevent rather than add to the melee. As for should he have been sent off i have seen people sent off before for it yes but the referee was pretty weak and bad for both sides. I am sorry my board went down for a while they were doing some maintenance.Good luck in your efforts to stay in the conference and hopefully see you all again one day.

Always a breath of fresh air to have someone from an opposing club who contributes in a grown up way. I hope your website wasn't troubled by our own theankfully small band of children, who only see message boards as an extension of the infant school playground.

 

You didn't see us at our best, but that's no excuse. You deserved to go through. I remember our Trophy run when we were a level below where you are now & put out 2 Conference sides in replays, both times scoring dramatic last ditch winners against teams technically much better than us, but no match in terms of fight & detrmination on the night.

 

Go on & turn Telford over. They've had a great FA Cup run, but if you can stop them playing, from the start, like you did to us in the 2nd half at Northfleet, you're in with a good chance.

Went to the game we were average to bad (i'm trying to be kind)

It certainly highlighted our lack of a decent strike force,some decent build ups from midfield (well one or two) and just no idea in how to finish,though the WSM goalie did make some good blocks.

Overall a very scrappy game,and no real cup tie atmosphere.Macca came over at the end to shake everyones hand (all 9 of us,I think)which was decent of him,he certainly looked pretty pissed off to be honest,he tried to get the team going as did Skins but no-one came out of the game with much credit.

Heard a rumour that Wilkos' hand injury is worse than first thought and so he'll be missing at least the next game,and to be honest O'reilly still looks uncertain at times he doesn't instill a lot of confidence in dominating the goal area,though he is capable of making some decent saves.

Hmm, thought you were talking about Wilko's recent form then...

He doesn't dominate his area enough for me...should certainly come out for more crosses.
Just looked a bit shaky in recent games for the first time since we got him that's all.

Of course, Forest Green are still in the competition and so could reach the later stages of the competition. But this wouldn't be a problem anyway, according to confguide's fixture lists - the fifth round is on the 14th February, and the quarter finals are on the 28th, with our game at the Lawn on the 21st.

I forgot about the Gravesend 'football supporters' who took the piss out of us while we were there and told us it was a wasted trip. I hope they remember saying that now.
