Very good crowd, just pity the atmosphere was quite flat.   Yes, nerves could be a factor and always going to be a tight game, however give me a smaller attendance of 1500 if the atmosphere is going to be better.

 

I studied in NY years back and they looked at the impact of home advantage.....the lecturer said that figures proved that home field advantage was a real thing and in football it could be worth up to a goal.....more so than in any other sport at the time.

No issue with fans who pay to watch, but that's just it, so many yesterday didn't pay to watch....they are paying money to Enfield Town however it was like being at a baseball game.....fans seemed more interested in a chat, a drink, and whatever else they were doing.   We started off flat on the pitch and I think that transferred to the fans too, although we did well to come back 5 minutes after conceding.

Paying fans is one thing, but I would rather a smaller attendance if those there are really invested in what's going on on the pitch.   It's all a matter of opinions right and as Gavin has intimated so many times this season I'm guessing the atmosphere will probably be better at Borehamwood due to the fact that those making the journey are actively invested in what's going on on the green stuff.    That certainly wasn't the case yesterday and with so many there the atmosphere really SHOULD have been been better.

Still think there's plenty of football to be played and Truro will have a massive say in our situation.

Hoping we have a bit more quality both on and off the pitch in the game on Monday.
