Great news that Johnny Goddard has decide to stay with us for next season.

Lets hope he can get back to being the player that can create and score goals.

Although JG didn’t hit the heights of his previous spell, his experience will be vital in what appears to be a younger squad next season. I make it 4 senior players (Slavi, Oggy, Gilbert, Miccio) futures still to be decided and I’m really hoping we can persuade at least 2 of these to stay.

Even if he is not fully the player he was his influence and the freedom created for other players as defenders worry about him are really important.

After all, he is a wizard.

Good news at last

Unfortunately I think the Goddard we got back from BW was the one we had the first season. So far we have had 2 average seasons and 1 outstanding one from him. I hope he can recapture the form of 23/24 as on the other 2 seasons, he isn't, IMO, good enough.

With the coaching role now not his responsibility hopefully Johnny can concentrate on his fitness, consistency and goal scoring feats that he achieved before leaving for BW.
