Slavi has been good to us , injury free he may have been profilic, destined for good things , can be a little inconsistent,  but probably down to injury past & present,  will be sorry to see him leave.....Can Scott Davies confirm this and will he be replaced? Jake Tabor maybe ?

We only have 2 out and out strikers but can we keep 3 strikers happy? Scott mentioned he was looking at 1 other player potentially but also there may be 1 or 2 spots available for any trialists that impress. Jake Tabor is/was on trial at Swindon.

Scott or the club won't confirm anything until Southend have announced it.

I doubt if another striker is on the cards, imo a winger/wide forward is more likely.

Surely you rotate with three strikers - any injury and you're screwed and forced into loaning in children again.

In an ideal world you're probably right but at our level and what we pay it would be difficult to keep 3 good strikers happy.

I suppose we could a have a youngster on the bench but their game time could be limited which wouldn't help with their progress.

slavi started last season scoring for fun then got injured , was never the same after that don't think he got over his injuries, but when fit he is definately one that will get you a goal or two

It's now official, sadly - Southend announced it about an hour ago. But good luck to the lad.

Ok Southend you’ve had your fill, now leave us alone! Even those it’s hugely frustrating to see so many players leave it does highlight what a good reputation we’re creating for finding and developing players. Just hope we can slowly get to a stage where we don’t lose all our best players at the end of every season.

If they do well for us it's inevitable until we achieve promotion which won't happen anytime soon.

So expect this sell on of players to continue unless of course they don't make the step up in which case we could be in deep 💩

Haven’t we signed Timberlake as well?

Give the up & coming youngsters a chance if there are injuries or suspensions otherwise you will never find out if they are good enough.

And if an 18 to 20 year old under contract breaks through & becomes a regular starter the transfer fee for them would be eye-watering!

Interesting that Southend have announced signing Slavi, but nothing appears to be on our Club web-site or Twitter (but his photo is no longer on our squad info).

Is it possible an acceptable fee has not yet been agreed with Southend?

Or is the Club waiting to announce some good news to offset this news?
