Enfield Town fans applauded plucky London APSA off the pitch after they won 1 - 0. For 85 minutes of the match Town dominated. In the first half there should have been a penalty for a foul on Daniel Clarke but the ref didn't go to specsavers!

 

Shot after shot after shot and Town never looked threatened we all thought it was just a matter of time before we got a hatful of goals. APSA didn't look like scoring and we were very relaxed.

 

Second half for a reason best know to the team Chopper came out to meet an attacker who then put the ball bobbling in slow motion past him into the net. It was weird! Disappointed to have lost but hopefully we can sort out the poor striking problem before the league match in a couple of weeks time.

'Barn door' and 'couldn't hit it' are the words that spring to mind about our attackers today.

 

How many one on ones did we have?

 

How many times were players in better scoring positions yet were not given the ball?

 

Far too many for my liking.

 

Sorry to have to say but the performance was just not good enough.

 

Before people say 'it was only a cup game', we were the holders and we should have at least held on to it for another week.
