Three points today combined with defeats for hitchin northwood and stale buns puts us 21st, only a point behind the two above us, with a game in hand on northwood. 8 games to go, 20th place looks very achievable now

Cliche du jour would probably be something along the lines of "strong wind made game a lottery...

 

That said felt we probably dealt with the conditions slightly better than Stortford, particularly when playing against the wind. Goal was a rare strike from Gary Henty, high cross into the box that flew over the Stortford keeper's head. Both teams had plenty of chances, Hockton had 3 good uns, both teams hit the woodwork and Weaver made a couple of excellent saves. Can't really comment on the quality of play, given the conditions, but our attitude which was poor last couple of games was much better today, battled away well.
