Fair play to you today you played better football and perhaps should have won.

Aided by some good football of your own and a very very very poor Carlisle performance you should have at least scored.

You played to your strengths playing the ball into Boylans feet and we did not. Many Carlisle fans are less than happy with what we produced today and overall both fans and players were very lacklustre. You can expect better from us later in the season, until then all the best.

By the way please dont go on about how "its harder than you all thought it would be", if your replying to this cos most of us didnt actually think we'd steamroller you, and its getting a bit wearing hearing it again and again now.

all the best

Surprised at the booing at the end. I thought your fans for the most part seemed quite patient and tried to get behind the team.

don't worry....the boo boys were idiots and will be dealt with.

yes our display was a little under-par...but fook me...it's the first game of the season.

Also the first game of the season we haven't actually lost for several years.

Certainly a nervy step into the unknown by our team.....but thats over now.

My view. We played below par and came away with a point against one of the "fancied" teams of the leauge. Can't be too bad.

Chances missed by both sides (Boyland shooting clean over from 3yards wtf?). On balance Carlisle made the most chaces but just couldn't take them....your keeper had alot to do with that by pulling off 4 or 5 excellent saves. It could have been 3 or 4 nil if he'd been off his game.

Maybe slightly biased but carlisle edged it on points...I'm quite happy with the draw though (i did actually predict a scrappy match with a 1-0 Canvey win).

Watch out Northwhich V and Forest G...the blue army is on it's way to you this week....and I have a feeling, the squad may well have a point to prove.

Best o luck to Canvey for the rest o the season (except the 25 March <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />)
