You'll be pleased to know that the player in question (and I'm not even going to say which side he was on) was so surprised at not being asked to move the ball back that he hit it so long it resulted in a goal kick for the other side. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I think if the player in question concentrated more on getting quality crosses into the box rather than taking the piss out of the officials/opposition he'd be a lot better off.

The best thing was though, the ref asked 'the said player in question', if the ball was in the D. 'The said player' replied "Yes" and the ref was happy with that. That's poor officiating in my book.

Interesting point on corners - although I tend to agree with JL that our crossing generally hasn't been as good as it could be, I reckon we've done quite well from corners, not an area we've been strong in in recent seasons. Hockers v Eastleigh and Dover, McSweeney v Tonbridge and Dormer v Wealdstone have all scored from corners for us this season. Compare this to last season when I don't remember many goals coming from corners and I reckon it shows a good improvement.
