I see Brentford have released this guy who scored 21 goals for them last season. Hes a free agent at the end of the month, so there wouldnt be a fee, - whats our chances of securing such a player ??

 

( I suspect wages would be far too high for us, but .....)

Didn't we sign someone from Brentford last season. I'm sure we did but the name escapes me for the moment.

Lloyd Owusu played for Brentford against Hudders in last seasons play-offs.

 

He's big and strong - not always skillful though. I fact he's a bit like a battering-ram. But he's very, very effective. Has his scoring shows he hits the target.

 

I reckon he'd be looking to move up to at least Division One and his wages would be pretty steep.

 

So all in all I'd say yes he's the sort of player the Fleet need but his wage demands would prohibit it!

I guessed that would be the case - after all, if he's scored that number of goals at Div 2 level, he has to be pretty well paid ( & I guess Brentfords financial situation means they cant afford him) & also has to have pretensions to playing at a higher level.

 

My original posting was somewhat "tongue in cheek" as I didnt really believe he would be accessible to us, and with little else to talk about on the board ....
