I was pretty pleased with the performance on Saturday. I thought both Tarkan and Ricky looked solid and bolstered the team well.

 

However i think we only started playing when Simmonds came on. He showed composure on the right and linked well with Tarkan. I think those two could build up a good understanding.

 

One thing i am bemused about is Leon Hunter's set pieces, he took a good penalty, but his corners and free kicks lacked idea and invention. I find Simmonds corners and free kicks a lot more creative, he can bend them in and pose an attacking threat where as Leon's are all the same and the opposition guess after about 15 minutes, what he is going to do.

 

It was a comfortable win, but i still think we are lacking a creative player with vision, Leon is a great player but the element of surprise is not there for me. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/afro.gif" alt="" />
