Frank Peterson

Recommended Posts

Morning, all! Chelmsford City fan here (don't log off) -- I posted this last night, but it seems to have disappeared down the plughole, so here goes again...

Does anyone know the whereabouts of Frank Peterson? Inspirational, if wayward, striker who played for both our clubs, among others, in the 1970s-1980s, and who's fondly remembered at City. Ex-Chelmsford secretary Dave Selby would like to chat with him for a piece on his personal blog, but Frank seems untraceable.

Can any long-time Urchins fan help Dave make contact? If so, please e-mail joalph@tiscali.co.uk -- oh, and best of luck for the rest of the season. Except Tuesday, of course.

Hasbeen and his crap brother used to play with him, with the likes of weekes, brett, kerslake etc etc one of the hardest teams of all.

If you are coming tuesday night,i do the 50/50 and i will put you in touch with the hasbeens if they are there

Buzz Boy ....can you add my name to that list please !! ....managed by Keith Goodwin, also had the likes Micky Bright (Ex City I believe) Paul Blackeller, Dougie Young, ...the keeper's name is on the tip of my tongue ...Nicky ??, played for Aston Villa I think.

Also as you may have been only 11, and must have a poor memory, obviously Hasbeen has been telling you he played .....he still lives the dream, his only part was rolling Frankie P's Spliffs for him.

Best of Luck Tuesday

Poor old Miller he hates that no one remembers him at the Bridge, he's right I never played with Frankie in the first team but we had some great times in the stiffs(not spliffs).Frankie was a reat character and we enjoyed some good nights out. The keeper he is trying to remember is Nicky Penn and it was Paul Blackhaller not Blackeller

That had you searching through your scrap book ;-)

No one remembers me @ Mill Field either, but then that's an advantage sometimes !!

Dave Selby tells me Hasbeen wasn't there. If you run into him, would you ask him to email Dave at honsecccfc[at]aol.com if he can help? If not, a call to the club office with any contact details would be appreciated: 01245-290959. Thanks a lot. Oh, and best of luck in the Senior Cup final!

  • 11 years later...

Hi Everyone,

A long shot I know but did anyone ever find Frank Peterson or even his brother Ivan?

Frank and Ivan lived in the GLC orphanage that backed onto my mum and dad's council house in Hutton, Essex and we all went to St Martins School in Hutton. Even at school Frank was a special player and played in the same school side as me even though he was 2 years younger.

I have never had any luck in finding Frank so any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Colin Gay
