Webbo MFI

Recommended Posts

It were a funny old meeting webbo mate.
First of all Mr McMillan explained the current situation in about five minutes then started answering questions that people had written down on specially prepared slips of paper.
Most of the quwestions followed the lines of 'what happens if...' but there was some good discussion about us setting up a Supporters Trust. Then it was opened to the floor and after a few more questions Dave Tavener piped up 'is there any truth in the message Lee Harding left on the website this evening that the suspension has been lifted?' and the place erupted.
John Gibson was then introduced by Gary Roberts and he answered a few more questions and the meeting was brought to a close around 9 p.m.
There seemed to be a general air of optimism about the place, not least at the end when the managers and Mr Gibson got a standing ovation!
A good and totally unexpected result, you should have been there!
Att: 180 (est.)

You dot-com millionaires. Doing another deal with your mate from NOTLN, I suppose. Forgotten your roots already.
220 or so people there last night. The League have lifted the suspension. [For once Lee Harding was not misquoted on an earlier thread.] Late in the afternoon. John Gibson acquired the 80% majority shareholding from LH. A payment has been made by John to Berley and Co. and the formalities/paperwork of settling the debt will be concluded shortly, no doubt.
John could give no details of the directors/the Board/ Administration as he has been working on the deal itself exclusively over the last 9 days. I suspect that it will be business as usual for a couple of games while he finds his feet.
Seems like a nice guy. Every good luck to him. Has lived in Chiswell Green for the last 15 years. He was happy to declare that his knowledge of football comes from his running of The Farriers Arms Sunday side for a few years, a few years ago. Gary guested for them. If I recall, they played 4 at the back.
I think he's angling for an Honorary Membership of EFM and they don't give those out with cornflakes.
Gary referred to an appeal through the local press for a Save Our Saints Fund. Wait and see.
Most important of all, City are back on Tuesday.
101 points are ON.
