I would like to pass on my thanks to the people who gave up there Saturday morning to help us try and get the New Lodge pitch fit for football that afternoon.

 

John Mason - Groundsman

Trevor Veitch

Robert Moore

Ryan Connell

Nigel Harris

Myself (Andrew Turner)

 

 

In addition the Chairman, Manager and Coach when arriving at the ground assisted the above in doing our best to get this game on.

 

After a lot of hard work to clear the remaining snow and ice and treating the frozen parts of the pitch we all believed we had a pitch able to play our first game of 2003 on.

 

Unfortunately the Referee felt that the pitch was still unplayable in patches and at around 1.45 the game was called off much to the frustation to all that had taken time out to help the club.
