Site Changes / Upgrade

Hi,

 

Due to a pending major upgrade I have had to loose the left hand navigation. I am hoping this will return soon.

 

In its place I have added two further drop down menus at the top.

 

If anything else needs adding to these, please advise us.

 

I will update this thread, with news of the import, which I am hoping will take place in the next few days or so.

 

This is probably the biggest upgrade of the core software for a few years - we will loose some features temporarily, but add many more both now and in the weeks ahead....

Okay - I am continuing to configure the new software - sadly this does take some time....

 

However you can now view it at

 

http://www.nonleague.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php

 

At the moment, I only have one stylesheet for it - but will have more in the coming days.

 

You can log in with your existing username and password.

 

Please if you have any comments - let me know - simply reply to this post.

 

I am hoping to cut us over in the next few days.

 

Most items work as they did before - however I need to write a new left menu system.

 

You can turn the right hand menu off (including the shoutbox) if you wish.

Some of the new features...

 

PT - Private Topics - the ability to have a two way conversation with another person.

 

Online/Offline - the ability to see if a person is on or offline.

 

Mood Indicators - select your mood and it will display against your posts.

 

Multi-Question polls - more comprehensive polls

 

Calendar - private calendar as well as a public calendar - monthly and annual events.

 

RSS - RSS feeds - the ability to display an RSS feed on your club site.

 

New Post boxes - the ability to display the latest posts on your club site.

 

Shout Box - quick and easy posts in the shoutbox

 

Left and right hand margins - the ability to turn off the right hand column if you need more space, or just wish to hide the shoutbox.

 

We also have several new features in the pipeline... Many of which will enhance your own club website.

Just looked at the new style sheet and must say it looks good. Mind you, you might as well delete the Roy Bailey Trophy and Isthmian League Two now!

PS: I am still getting every word underscored and also, why does this system still seem to grind to halt after midnight GMT?

1) What browser are you using?

2) What stylesheet are you using?

 

Probably due to a backup - I have tweaked it so that it will not happen every night to the full extent.

Looks good Ian, the site is excellent, like the new top menu bars and if people don't like it they should try doing something themselves then they would not complain.

OK - I will shortly be taking the new site down and will rebuild the database, with the latest copy from here.

 

Depending upon how that goes and I will not know until the morning - I will start work on the final phase of upgrading - this will take a couple of days I guess....
