Lewes have announced that former Ebbsfleet United manager Steve Brown has agreed to become Interim Manager until the end of this season.

Steve, along with his assistant manager, Dave Jupp, took Ebsfleet to the Conference South Play-Off Final at the end of last season before leaving the club in November 2014 where they were in the play-off positions once again.

Steve will be best remembered as a Charlton Athletic stalwart, making nearly 250 appearances for the Addicks as well as 40 for Reading, before retiring and joining Alan Pardew’s back-room staff at West Ham United. Steve and Dave are both UEFA A-licensed coaches and have extensive knowledge of the Non-League scene.

Steve will be in charge of the first team for Saturday’s game against Kingstonian, along with Dave and Steve Eke. Martin Hinshelwood will work with Steve and Dave on the handover of first team affairs before continuing in his role within the Academy.
