Tranmere Rovers manager Micky Mellon says his players are going to leave nothing in the tank in the remaining fixtures of the season.

The manager says he's happy with the different options he has at his disposal and the squad are simply going to "go for it" for the remainder of the campaign.

He told Tranmere Player HD: "It's not about rest, it's about emptying the tank and going for it. There's only 10 games to go and we're going to go for it.

"We're going to pick a team to go for it and try and win every game, so it's not about rest but having different options to go in different ways should we need to."

Mellon said there was some mixed news from the treatment room but one player set to return whilst two others have suffered knock backs in their rehabilitations.

He added: "James Wallace is back training again and needs a few more minutes under his belt on the grass.

"Jack Dunn took a bad knock in training so we need to have a look at that and Lois Maynard tried to join in training but felt his injury again so we need to see if that is a reaction or a setback.

"Steven Jennings hasn't been training, he's suffering from a knee problem but we're hopeful he'll return to training soon."
