LDV Trophy

Recommended Posts

So presumably the entry for the Football League is still 4,000, but LDV is 5,000. Double standards or what? Oh and we must be in line for the worst website of the year award, what kind of impression does it make?

Despite the website's sizeable update today, they still haven't mentioned Matt Lee's departure either.

As for the LDV, it's certainly not a massive loss. It would be interesting to know what made them decide to change the criteria though, just out of curiosity.

They are using the "Admission Criteria" rather than the "Qualification Criteria" for the Football League

The Admission Criteria is a level that must be achieved by 1st May of the club's first season in the Football League. Any club not meeting the required level by 1st March will need to demonstrate to the League's satisfaction that it can comply by 30th April. Failure in this instance would lead to loss of all points and therefore automatic relegation back to the Conference

The Qualification Criteria represents the level required for promotion. Any club that believes it will be in a position to qualify for promotion from the Conference must submit, by 1st March in that season, evidence that it can comply with the Qualification Criteria.

Still, a strange decision really, when I doubt most LDV games involving Conference clubs attracted more than 2000 fans anyway.

Where did you get this from Dave, the Football League official site makes no mention of it & nor does Confguide??

Its on conf guide now. A shame. Stonebridge Rd should easily meet criteria for such a competition. There have been crowd of well over the mentioned amount in there with ease. The club just wont admit to it. My own league table of ground quality would put Stonebridge way above two of the grounds allowed. I suspect somebody just did not want the fleet in the competition. Never mind. On the plus side it may lead to crash barriers at the Northfleet end, two burger bars, Extra exits, upgrade to the floodlights, a patch for the roof and a grant from the Football League.

And yes I know these things are in hand.

I love the ground as it is.

It's not the quality but the quanity. <img src="/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />

Our local safety officer will not give us a certificate for 5,000 capacity even though we all know that the ground will safely hold at least that number.

Mind you the 1,000 seats would still be a stumbling block, but that will be corrected in due course.
