Whilst waiting for kick-off, it's 3:10 A.M. at present. I was surfing the web and visited the BBC Sports pages, just to see what the latest news from Japan and South Korea was. I came across an interesting little addition to any football supporters PC. 'Mini Motty'.

At this moment in time a miniature John Motson (sheepskin coat, cap and all), is walking across my screen. As well as keeping you informed with 'live' updates on your own 'Team Selections', he also has daily updates on all the news from Japan and South Korea. It's not just for the World Cup either, he'll also be commentating on next season too. Add to this, if you right click him you can make him dance, celebrate, do ball skills and wave a rattle, plus loads more. It's an easy download and takes about 8 minutes.

A couple of things though, he doesn't like being dragged across the screen (you'll see what I mean), and the 'Team Selections' go as low as the Conference, but we aren't there. I've e-mailed BBC Sports, so I hope this will be remedied soon.

Do you like the football smileys?

So long as no one comes up with a mini Garth Crooks who talks down to you very slowly and very seriously and doesn't realise he's talking total b*ll*cks.
