I haven't laughed so much in ages after seeing the Dancing Linney pics!!! It's all come flooding back to me!

What a s**t day that was, but Linney's dancing was by far the highlight!

Excellent win on Saturday and great to see Canvey put together a performance when it was needed.

The game was not much to watch but who cares? The end justified the means and frankly better teams than Canvey and Crawley would have struggled in those conditions.

Picking a Canvey starting line up these days is becoming as difficult as getting those six numbers up on the lottery it seems, but fair play to Jeff and Glenn for putting out a side that was capable of winning and getting those three points.

Have to have a little moan here however, I thought that the club could have made much more of the fact that it was Steve Ward's 400th game for Canvey. A presentation would have been well in order or failing that, at least an announcement of the fact before the game so that Wardy could have been given the ovation that his wonderful achievement deserved.

IMHO the club falls down greatly on things like this, even little things like there not being a replacement shirt for Ben Sedgemore, forcing him to play without a number when his original shirt was ripped and nobody thinking to bring out the footballs for the girls football display at half time, shows the club in a poor and amateurish light.

Anyway, a good result and hopefully now if we can continue the momentum and get something from Scarborough and Altrincham away (minimum two draws) I am sure we can all look forward to seeing Conference football at Park Lane again next season for sure.

A very conderscending quote from the match report in Crawley`s local paper The Argus

All of Crawley's relegation rivals are part-time, except Scarborough, so theoretically Hollins' men should have enough to lift themselves above the dross .

almost glad i couldnt make it
Canvey contributed to a dire game by playing almost as badly but took their opportunity when it came.

But if we're dross I hate to think what that makes Crawley, being they're the one's struggling in 21st.
