Very surprised he has gone to Chelmo. If he can get himself fit and rediscover his form, he could score the goals that will keep them in the promotion hunt.

you couldnt have seen boylan play when he is fit and on form. he never really done it on the conference, always seemed to get injured.

I have seen Boylan play a lot, i have been going to watch Canvey since i was 8. I am now nearly 17. There is no doubt on form Boylan was and is a great goalscorer I just liked Jason Hallett and Kezie Ibe more.

Ibe lacked composure in front of goal, and Hallett had a poor first touch.

Both were good for the Ryman Premier, I'd say Ibe could cut it at Conference Level and Hallett at Conference South. Boylan, if he recovers his pace could quite easily play league football.

Couldnt beleive it when my mate, a CCFC supporter, told me Boyly played. I thought Boyly and Kingy fell out of bed spectactularly in the last few months of the regime here, theyve practically got the lot now at CCFC, Canvey in diguise!

Do you think they care where the players come from? As long as they are winning i`m sure they are happy.

From what I've heard Boylan played very well on Monday night for Chelmo. Looked hungry and ready to prove a point apparently.

Obviously will do well at Ryman Prem level because of his ability. But, as far as league football is concerned Lee has missed the boat.
The injuries he suffered whilst with us in the Conference did more harm than anyone would have thought. Talking to supporters from other clubs, the opinion is, "Boylan? he's injury prone isn't he? not worth the risk"
Shame really.

I think there was an insurance issue following a earlier injury which has prevented Lee playing at League level. What I meant is that he has the class to have been able to hold his own at hat level. Certainly a class above Ibe and Hallett in my opinion.

In my opinion he just follows the money !

Don't feel that he ever played for the shirt.

doesnt his Crohn's Disease prevent him from playing at a higher level. Southend were interested at one point but never went through with buying him

Think that's a touch unfair. Maybe towards the end he didn't always give 110% but his workrate at times was phenomenal for Canvey.

Whatever you say about him, he will go down as one of the best players to have ever played for Canvey.
