It was amazing. We were outstanding. Colin Wall got himself sent off for two yellow cards, but we pushed on, outplayed Maidstone and scored a great goal from the best piece of play all game. (Well done to Johnny Stuart for the cross and Chris Bourne for the overlap that allowed it.) After that we continued pushing and Jay Curran could've had two for himself, but couldn't get a shot on target.
A lot of teams would have been happy to hold the ball in the corner, but I'm chuffed that we didn't even attempt it. We carried on breaking through their defence and creating chances.

Ricky Wiseman was my man of the match, because he dealt with everything coming his way with great control. He didn't put a foot wrong and stayed solid when some of us fans didn't even want to watch the game through fear.

Absolutely fantastic performance today from the lads, one of those games that will live long in the memory. We were the better team by far and even going down to 10 players I still fancied our chances, the longer it went on Maidstone just got more frustrated and we should have won by more. Up The Gulls !
