Last season, the lowest recorded Essex Senior League gate was four - this season Mauritius and Pennant went one better and lowered the record to three.

 

This week, Eton Manor declared a zero attendance, which may take some beating. (Source - another's web site).

 

The one big question - did they sell out of programmes?

 

And to save anyone asking, the highest known ESL gate was at Brentwood, when JG made his debut for them in a league cup match.

It was reported as 3,500 - the traffic was backed up right the way down the Ongar Road, then down the High Road, and all the way back to the station.

 

Can't remember who they played, but they lost 2-0 and this was the only time that JG had failed to score on his debut for a new club.
