as the bridge resembled the alamo in the second half tonight but horsham are a canny well drilled team and a combination of desperate defending...time wasting (all unpunished by the inept ref) and pure luck gave them the all important three points...

 

an even first half with one poorly defended but well taken goal and a fluke deflection off tommos hip between the teams but the second half was something else again as the red and white stripes surged forward time and time again without just reward...numerous chances missed or blocked...two penalty claims turned down...the second one nailed on but sometimes its our night and sometimes it aint....if we had scored 6 goals in the second half no one could have complained..

 

frankie pulled one back and the amount of post shavers was to many to count...sadly not to be tonight although it would have been better deserved than saturday and so the topsy turvey ryman premier play off chase continues apace as we drop to 5th below horsham...

 

two good games against our visitors tonight as it goes with nowt to show for it and well done to them for that...a durable and lively team who will be hard to shift from the play offs but who knows....??

 

our fans well behaved and a credit to the club after all the nonsense spouted in the press recently and the football the winner tonight which is how it should be....

 

mind you if the NLT were present don't count on it...

Your right there Unc great last 30 mins. Well atleast last night the team wanted it, trouble was so did they. The time wasting by their goalie and team realy the only bad points, thats not forgetting the ref, I dont know what they see out there on the pitch but its totally differfent to what we see from the stand.

It also depends on who you are playing in this league. We did beat Carshalton whilst playing poorly for most of the game, but Horsham were a lot tougher and kept the ball well. They fought hard and put in a professional performance but we fought to the end and could have got a point. More pleased with our performance last night than on saturday, hopefully we can continue our good away form this saturday.
