good day out.. beautiful night for a game of footy..

mervs report sums it up perfectly..

shots are a good team .. best ive seen at the lane for some time..we all know about the fan base and i hung around at the end to watch em celebrate, for the long termers they deserved it.. i hope they do well in the 'conf' a club that size should be up at that level..

they played it in a 'professional' style but they didnt waste endless minutes taking free kicks, goal kicks etc(like so many teams that are 1-0 up) and hats of to em for that..

ill miss seeing them at the lane next season...

as for the game, top defence by the shots, and it was good to see a great defence that didnt rely on swamping thier own half.. the clearences were normally to a player in red and the 'hoof' was only used when required, they played a great away game and deserved a result...
