On the basis that most people were there to try and suss out the opposition, it would be pretty silly to discuss it on here....

It just all depends on what the local administration want? Do they want to offload some more silverware to an organisation who can, with a third party, build up the infrastructure and give something back to the Council or do they want to retain ownership and all the problems and costs that go with it and be a partner with an organisation which has a different focus?

In terms of commercial viability, one of the issues was whether or not all organisations had been given the same amount of time to prepare! Maybe there could have been a different outcome if they had. Who knows?

Anyway. The process has started and there will be short term pain for long term gain. Let's just hope that there are not too many negative letters in the Gazette.

The facility is just sitting there ripe for some form of development and it would be great to see something happen.
