just read in the gazette that Billy Mcmahon is leaving the club this week with mutual consent to his contract. if this is correct what are your views on this?

I don't think he would have been given a 1st team start unless both worster and buckfield got injured..

 

He was on a high pay and he wasnt even playing so at least it gives the club some more money to keep

good luck to him, great bloke who loved the club but there is a time to move on and if he wasnt geeting in the squad each week then the time is right.

Yes, good wishes to Billy for the future. Think he only had 40 odd games in his time with us and i suppose it is a gamble that he may/may not get injured again.

yeah best of luck to Billy, he always had time to stop and talk with the kids and sign autographs for them.

Bill's a quality keeper and a nice bloke. The issue was always about injuries and whether you got value for money out of him. We have two good young keepers and the management have obviously decided (what's left of) the money can be better spent elsewhere.

 

It'll be interesting to see how we go at the start of next season regarding the No 1 shirt.
