WHITE ENSIGN REACH ESSEX PREMIER CUP FINAL

White Ensign fc have reached the essex premier cup final for the 1st time in the their history after a hard fought match against fellow essex intermediate league side May & Baker,they won through to the final which is due to be played the 23rd april 08 at Billericay Town's fc ground kick off 19-45pm after winning 3-1 on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after extra-time,they now play Brentwood Town Reserves in the final.

 

Goalkeeper Nick Keys was the hero of the hour for White Ensign when he made three superb saves in the penalty shoot-out to put his team into their first Essex Premier Cup final.

 

Jamie Salmon had put the home side in the lead before Steve Bartlett levelled things for M & B Club with a goal in the 80th minute.

 

With no further goals being scored in extra time the game went to penalties and the hosts went through 3 – 1 due to the skill of their goalkeeper.

 

 

Great effort to reach the final.
