FA CUP DRAW

Recommended Posts

The Fleet or Woking ball will be number 64

The draw for the 1st round of the F.A.Cup will take place live on ITV1 at 13:00 Sunday 26th October 2008 with Ossie Ardeles and Martin Keown picking the balls. There will be 80 balls altogether and as is the norm with the F.A.Cup, the ball may represent two teams who have yet to complete the previous round of the competition. This gives some of the minnows extra incentive to qualify for the first round proper...

if they get drawn against a football league team such as Southend United who are ball number 42. There are 48 football league teams listed alphabetically from Accrington Stanley to Yeovil Town and the remaining 32 balls consist of the winners of the F.A.Cup Fourth Qualifying Round* from the remaining non league teams in the competition.

* This round takes place this weekend.

The F.A.Cup 1st Round will take place on either Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th of November 2008 (Kickoff times may vary).
