White Ensign Shenanigans

Recommended Posts

I have been asked to pass on a message to those patrons of White Ensign F.C. who are conducting player acquisitions by ringing up players, though they hadn't given their number out to the people concerned, and stuffing unsolicited mail through their letter boxes - this after being told a number of times, so knowing full well - that they were playing for another club next season and did not want to step down 2 or 3 leagues.

Please desist. The players have let it be known to their clubs what has gone on and they in turn have contacted their league secretaries.

Thank you.

It should also be pointed out that Ensign are under new management, with Gary Banks having moved on.

From last night's Echo...

SOUTHEND'S White Ensign will start the campaign under new leadership.

For Sobantu Sibanda has taken over the role of first team manager after Gary Banks stood down following a season in charge.

Sibanda will be assisted by Dave Hey, Paul Walton and Steve Acton.

Damo Keane takes charge of the second XI with Ian Chittock his assistant. Troy Brooks is in charge of the thirds with backing from Lawrence Field.

The club have a vacancy for a fourth XI boss and a club secretary. If you are interested in either post ring chaiman Alan Day on 07798 856090 or 01702 525138.

Ensign are back in training at the Len Forge Centre in Eastwoodbury Lane on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm. New members are invited to attend.
