Butterworth doubles up in vain 22:03 08 Sep 09

TWO Division One North games got under way on Tuesday night - but only one finished.

Harlow Town's game at home to Concord Rangers was finally abandoned when the lights failed for the third time after 20 minutes of play. The kick-off had already been delayed because of a generator problem and the lights went out again after 15 minutes.

Action resumed after a 15-minute break but, just after Steve Butterworth netted his and Concord's second goal to give them a 2-0 lead, the ground was plunged into darkness once more and referee Jon Magill was forced to call off proceedings.

They had better luck, in every sense, at Potters Bar. Shane Wyllie gave them a 32nd-minute lead against Ware and, after Paul Abbott levelled the scores, Wyllie struck again with ten minutes left, his fifth goal of the season. The 2-1 win lifted the home side to seventh in the table while Ware remain next to bottom.
