any reason why when going into a forum that it doesn't go down to the latest post?

Click on the small red icon - or read the top forum (I explained it there on the post relating to checking for new posts etc.)

 

You just have to click on the icon rather than the whole subject - or click on the subject from the 'view new content' link at the top.
