Steve Frisby, who was joint boss at Ludlow Town last season, has taken over as manager of Midland Alliance outfit Bridgnorth Town.

The Crown Meadow club were plunged into crisis last month when chairman Harold Broome, manager Jimmy Mullen, secretary Lee Edgington and general manager Mick Tranter all resigned their posts. But the club have taken one step on the road to stability by appointing Frisby as manager.

He said: "I have had talks with Bridgnorth over the weekend and have decided to give it a go.

"There have obviously been some problems at the club but they are being sorted out and I am looking forward to taking the job on. I am a Bridgnorth man and hopefully a few more of the locals will come down and watch the team."
