That was a great win. A hard working away performance that deserved the reward of the 3 points. We are starting to look like a team that believes in itself again.

Well done to every player on the pitch, plus the team management who must be chuffed that their perserverance is starting to reap rewards.

Like Borehamw Wood last week, Angels didn't look like a team that started the day in 7th place. There's hope for us yet, if we can keep this momentum going.

It was indeed a good win and put together with last weeks win and performance proves that we are starting to turn a corner. We are looking more like a team and even though the games in the minor cups can be described a distraction, I don't think we would be where we are as regards team performance with out those games against Leyton and Burnham.

Before we get to hyper on "here we go, here we go", there is still some way to go as regards the league in terms of performance. Our retention of the ball was still sloppy yesterday and because of that we looked as if we were inviting Tonbridge to equalise and if not for poor finishing from the home team (a surprise IMO), the result would've been different. But, that aside, we did play like a team and when we did retain and pass the ball around, we were the better team.

The six points we have gained from our last two games is just part of the foundation to get us out of the bottom of the table. We are now within two games of getting out of the bottom four, which, if we had not concentrated on, the job would harder still.

With only cup games scheduled in for this week, we all can take a breather and look forward to the Rushden game with more vigour. The afternoon at the Midlands club is there for all of us to enjoy!! Now who is going? We have two coaches to fill...lets encourage as many people to come...I mean, what's it to be guys? Xmas shopping with the missus or a exciting Trophy game? And think...anything can happen if football!!!

I thought it was going to be a game where we didn't take our chances and Tonbridge would make us pay for that, but thankfully, we managed to score the goal, and with some good defending, managed to keep Tonbridge out. I thought they edged the first half, passed the ball better and had some good chances, but I thought we were the better team in the second half, and definately had more chances to score. So thats now 5 clean sheets in a row, and 1 defeat in 12 games I think?? Obviously we would have liked it if some of the cup games such as Essex senior cup and league cup had been league games, but we just have to carry on like we are now in the league games.

Vital win, probably the most important for a long time. We've narrowed the gap to safety, with cup games coming up the teams around us have the opportunity to pull away a bit, but this win means that they won't get too far away!

Best thing about the last couple of games is that we seem to be playing as a team and not a collection of individuals.

James Baker again played well, he is going to be a big miss during his suspension. Slatter looks to be improving all the time, and Kersey was again excellent.

A word on the ref - he was a jobsworth (to a quite spectacular degree) but he was consistent to both sides, and I don't think he got any of the big decisions wrong.... Can't have been too bad, we finished with 11 on the pitch!
