Defeat is damaging for Three Bridges, says boss

THREE Bridges manager Paul Faili believes a dent has been put in his team’s title hopes after they suffered a fourth defeat in five games.

Bridges are still top of the table by a point despite going down 2-0 at home to Selsey but rivals Crawley Down have four games in hand.

Faili told The Argus: “The boys are feeling gutted because we have given the league away. If they (Crawley Down) win their games in hand they will be 11 points clear so it is difficult to see us getting back in it.”

On Saturday’s game, he added: “We camped in their half in the second half but couldn’t get the ball in the net. We hit the post and the bar but it was just one of those games.”
