Gordon Bartlett, manager of Vanarama Conference South club Wealdstone, has signed midfielder Scott Davies from Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division side Dunstable Town.

An excellent passer of the ball, 26-year-old Davies started his career at Watford in their Academy set up and then moved onto Aylesbury United's first-team.

In 2001, he moved to Wycombe Wanderers before transferring to Reading a year later.

In September 2006, Davies joined Yeading on loan, scoring the winning goal away at Ramsgate which saw them go on to face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.

Davies has had experience at Yeovil Town, Bristol Rovers and made twenty

appearances for both Crawley Town and Oxford United and has three Republic of Ireland under-21 caps to his name.

Stones manager Gordon Bartlett said: “We are very pleased to have signed Scott as there were several other clubs in for him. We have brought him in with a view to the future but he is an experienced player with plenty of pro football under his belt; Scott has a good passing range and can also score goals and this can only assist our continued progress this season in the Conference South.”
