FF News
Macclesfield Town boss John Askey is hoping the character in his squad will help the club through two testing away games in the coming week. The Silkmen face the long journey to Eastleigh on Saturday, before another gruelling trip to take on Braintree on Tuesday night. Their task hasn't been made any easier with any early kick-off at Eastleigh due to live BT Sport coverage and the Silkmen will travel down to the game on Friday to give themselves the best preparation ahead of another big game at the top of the Vanarama Conference. Askey is hopeful the early-kick off doesn't put off the travelling Silkmen faithful who he says have been a massive advantage to his side this term. He explained: "We obviously make the journey to Eastleigh on Saturday which due to it being televised is an early kick off. We hope that this does not deter the away support because you have been great again this season and are always very vocal. "From there we face another trip to Braintree, something which again is far from ideal. But the team have shown throughout the season that they are able to cope with whatever is thrown at them. We have a real character in the squad and that takes you a long way." Source: www.mtfc.co.uk Source
